Concordia Preschool (California State License #191501048) PURPOSE STATEMENT Concordia Lutheran Preschool exists to assist parents in their task of parenting by offering a wide variety of experiences in an atmosphere of Christian love and acceptance. We joyfully accommodate children of every race and creed. Concordia Lutheran Church is committed to a Christ-centered and excellent preschool as the best preparation for kindergarten and day school. Efforts focus on the whole child with emphasis on the spiritual, physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children in a safe and nurturing environment. We are part of a Bible-based congregation that worships, equips, and reaches out to all people in our community and does so in an atmosphere of healing and care. NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY-Concordia Lutheran Preschool admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities made available to the students. Discrimination based on race, color, sex, age, disability, or national origin is prohibited. ADMISSION POLICY-Our school is open to all who desire a Christian preschool education for their child, provided that the school can meet the needs of the child. A child with special needs may be admitted, providing they meet state regulations and upon approval of the Director and the teacher. A child with special needs may be required to attend weekly conferences with the teacher and/or the director. Special needs assessment testing may be required prior to, or during attendance. Children may be requested to leave the program if it is felt that the school cannot meet the individual needs of that child. Director, Teacher and Parent conferences will precede any decision to discontinue enrollment. Children must be able to toilet independently before attending preschool. This means that they can complete the whole process from taking their pants down to pulling them up again by themselves--without a teacher present. We realize that occasionally an accident can happen, but children who are consistently unable to toilet independently will be asked to remain at home until more control is developed. When the children do have accidents, they are not reprimanded in any way, but they are expected to clean themselves and change into dry clothes by themselves AGE/ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS-In order to be eligible for enrollment in Concordia Lutheran Preschool, a child must be two years, nine months of age. All forms must be completed and turned in before a child may attend preschool. FEES FOR 2008-09 SCHOOL YEAR Tuition: Tuition is due on the first of the month. The year's total is broken into 10 equal parts and paid from August through May. Tuition is considered late on the tenth of the month. After the tenth of the month, you will be charged a $10 late fee. You will also be contacted to inquire about payment. If payment has not been received by the fifteenth of the month, the student may be suspended from class until payment has been made. A discount is available for families that enroll more than one child. Please contact the school office for details. A child enrolls for a full term. If you plan to withdraw at any time, you must notify the office or the Director, in writing, two weeks prior to leaving.
