Our Staff

/files/pictures/Pastor Parker Family[1].JPGPastor Parker

So, you may be wondering why a pastor is listed on the faculty/staff pages of a school. You might link me to the great lady who teaches the 3rd and 4th graders, for she is the mother of my son, and my wife of nearly 2 decades.  And you would be correct in thinking I am truly a lucky man.

But that doesn’t really answer the question of why a pastor is on the faculty and staff pages.  I am not the Principal, that is Mrs. McCombs.  But the school is one of the ways my church serves the community, directly serving the students and families that come here, but serving the community at large as we develop the next generation of leaders.  We develop the leaders who are not only strong in academics, but who are faithful and compassionate citizens, and serve their communities as God has served them.

That is our purpose, to help parents in raising and developing their children, and we do not take lightly the trust that is placed in our teachers and staff.  As we serve the families, I also serve my staff, encouraging them, and am available to answer the questions that kids ask, that even send me back to my library.

Whether a student, a family member, or a visitor to our campus, please give me the opportunity to meet you,  Know I am a resource to you and yours as well.

And may God’s peace, the incredible peace bought for us at the cross of Christ, envelope you as your walk through life.

God Speed, Pastor Dt

Principal's Message
Welcome to Concordia's website! I'm glad you found us, and I hope this site proves to be helpful and informative for you.

Concordia Lutheran School has been serving the residents of Cerritos and surrounding communities for over 25 years, providing Christ-centered education in a safe and family-oriented atmosphere. Our teachers are highly qualified, caring persons who are dedicated to working closely with children and their parents. The solid relationships forged between our staff members and our students and their families provide the means by which we fulfill our mission of preparing children for a lifetime of learning and Christian citizenship.

The combination of a strong academic emphasis and a Bible-based philosophy of morality, nurture, and discipline sets Concordia apart from public schools and other private non-religious schools. To arrange a campus visit or to receive enrollment information and paperwork, or for any other questions you may have, please contact us by phone (562-926-2491) or by e-mail (mmccombs@concordia.org) and we will be happy to assist you. Thank you for visiting our website.

God bless you and your family!
